Do you like my new smiley face?

This is an artist's depiction of the face of Thylacoleo carnifex, a marsupial lion and one of many now extinct Megafauna that once lived in Australia.

Could this be the Bunyip of Aboriginal folklore? The original killer drop bear?

A very large ambush predator that could have waited in silence, possibly in trees, around water holes and other water sources, with a far greater bite pressure than any predator that exists on the planet in the present, it was a very formidable animal.
