Firefighters warn of increased bushfire risk

The frequency of catastrophic fire danger could increase more than ten-fold in Melbourne, and the number of total fire ban days could triple in Adelaide, Canberra and Sydney by 2050. These are some of the scenarios mapped out in a report from the Fire Brigades Employees' Union and Greenpeace. Real action by government to address climate change, and mitigate future risks like these, is paramount.
